Winston Churchill Had a Cigar Assistant
Winston Churchill was such a legendary cigar smoker that he actually had a personal cigar valet! Someone whose job was to manage his cigar supply!
Churchill reportedly smoked 8–10 cigars a day, and he always wanted them perfectly stored, clipped, and ready to go. His staff made sure his cigars were kept at the right humidity, packed for travel, and even cut and pre-lit if needed during meetings or long car rides.
He famously said, “I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred percent form.”
